The DRYFOB TL (TALL L) Waterproof Container will keep your PLB or other electronics and belongings safe and dry, even at depth!

The design has been IPx8 certified to 1,200 ft (365 m)

The interior of the DRYFOB-TL container measures 46mm (1.81″) diameter by 222 mm (8.74”) length and is designed to house long and narrow AIS/PLB devices.

The container is made out of ruggedized aluminum that resists corrosion and employs dual O-ring sealing systems. A small amount of silicone grease is included along with a spare set of four O-rings and a removal pick.

Note: We do not include any attachment options but there are two small 3mm drilled out holes (one in each of the bottom lips).

The DRYFOB TL has approximately 220g or 8 oz of buoyancy when empty, but less when containing your unit and accessories. It fits some popular narrow and long PLB/AIS devices such as the PLB-450 with which it is only 16g positively buoyant in fresh water (when the PLB-450 and floatation pouch is included)

Note also that by ordering the TL you receive two DRYFOB-L bottoms with a middle sleeve which comprises the working TL unit. We offer the option of ordering the tops for those giving the possibility of alternating between the TL and the standard DRYFOB-Ls for some dives.

Description

The DRYFOB-TL (TALL L) is a double length version of our DRYFOB-L intended for use with long and thin PLB rescue devices, for carrying reading glasses, or generally anything that requires the longer formfactor from our usual DRYFOB-L.

The long thin form factor when belt-mounted can also work to tuck in a long hose setup.

The DRYFOB-TL interior cavity measures 46mm (1.81″) diameter by 222 mm (8.35”) length.

This unit is made up of two standard DRYFOB-L bottom pieces attached together with a middle sleeve. It is possible to interchange parts with the standard DRYFOB-L model. Those wanting both a TL and a standard DRYFOB-L can purchase an add-on TL top.

The DRYFOB-TL uses the same design as our IPx8 rated DRYFOB-L and DRYFOB-TXL which were tested to an incredible depth of 1,200 ft (365m). This should provide ample peace of mind for even the most technical deep divers. We include 2 sets of spare O-rings, compatible lube, and an O-ring removal pick with the TL.

While the TL does not have the same 4mm x 8mm oblong punchouts as the other DRYFOBs have on their lids, a small 3mm hole on both bottom lips has been added where a small ring or some cave line can be used to secure the device. It is also possible to use a carrying harness, or belt mount/bungee setup with hose clamps. NOTE THAT: No attachment options are included.
